Starting a new job, please help !

Bonjour. I'll start a new job as "Assistant Manager" in the IT department of an international trade organisation. I have been working in france for the past 12 years with solid job protection (like in most EU countries). This will be my first job in Switzerland and I can not afford to lose it. Any tips on how I can decrease my chances of getting fired ? Thank you
