Hello everyone!

Me and my partner are purchasing a new house and in the process got a report done and some issues have been identified, and I was wondering if there's any advice on some of the issues that have been identified:

Inadequate bracing on roof trusses - along with inadequate ventilation and insulation. I'm more than happy to install additional insulation and can do the truss design based on the current layout and what else it would need, but would it be as simple as adding the additional braces and reinforcements and keeping the existing ones in place? I'd look to get a structural engineer to look at my designs and after to make sure they're happy with it but thought I'd make sure I'm on the right track. If anyone on here has experience with adding ventilation to a roof space I'd appreciate it aswell.

The gaps in the stair balustrades exceeds modern building regulation standards - again would this be a case of adding additional balustrades? I'm fairly content with doing the work if that's the case.

For context I'm a civil engineer (roads and airfields more than anything), and have a working knowledge of structural principles and ill turn my hand to anything I can if possible.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this or its not entirely clear but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
