Bought new townhouse in a termite area

Hi there! We just bought a brand new property in Bentleigh, VIC. The conveyancer got a building certificate from the Council and it reports that it is a termite area, although they also say it is pretty common.

If it is a brand new build, by a reputable builder and with 10 year warranty, shouldn't we be safe? We bought in action without doing any building/pest inspections.

The conveyancer is recommending doing a building inspection and if a problem shows up, we could pull out of the contract if we want.

Would anyone here have experience with new builds in termite areas and wether there is an standard procedure to install some sort of protection? Thanks in advance
