Five and Pogo

I was re watching season 2 and got to the scene where Five ran into younger Pogo. Thinking back I think this is the happiest and softest Five has ever been and it makes me think, what exactly was Five and Pogos relationship like pre time travel?

Also Pogo scratched Five's face and jumped out of the window and Five immediately calls for Diego. In my opinion this was very our of character. We have seen Five hide injuries before and not call them out its unlike him to call for help. I feel like it was Pogo being there tha t convinced him.
