I don’t get the extreme hype for the classical era of 1300-1950

Let me explain:

I obviously respect the classical composers of that era and there are obviously high quality pieces.

But I personally that their pieces quite lifeless, too much sunshine and rainbows. Is like a robot that is programmed to simulate happiness but in reality it lacks consciousness, don’t get me wrong I respect these composers and there are most likely bright minds but I think they don’t have that emotional depth that for me is vital to make a song enjoyable.

Now for my personal favorite era 1950-2000 era, the songs at that time are so DAMN better they have soul, a ton of emotions, there are full life, romance, expression and they touch your heart I really feel like someone is hugging me when I listen that songs they are really magical !

For reasons I don’t understand and I would appreciate to explain me people appreciate and overrate the songs and the 1300-1950, but the songs I personally like is nearly dead on popularity.
