CASA CPL to FAA PPL (night flying)

Hey guys,

I've just heard I need a NVFR rating on my CASA CPL license in order to fly at night on an FAA PPL. I've got a multi engine instrument rating which allows me to fly in Australia at night. Do i still need the NVFR on my CASA to get validated fully? I can't see anything regarding this requirement on 14 CFR § 61.75.
