Could changing the wiring for the spark plugs fix a Cylinder 1 misfire?

Went to the mechanic today and got error code p301, meaning cylinder 1 is misfiring. Mechanic checked it out, and when taking the wiring off of the Spark Plug on cylinder 1, it began shaking the engine, even when putting it back on... also a part was broken from the wiring to the spark plug.

Would changing the wiring fix this issue?
