Why is my kitten meowing and chirping so much?

Okay so I have a three month old kitten. The first day I got him, he mewed constantly and ran about my apartment. Second day he was more calm and cuddly and less quiet. Today is his third day with me, and he still continues to meow. Sometimes I can tell he is meowing at me for something. Like when he mewed outside my door because he wanted me to get up and play with him. But when hes not playing, snuggling, sleeping, eating, drinking, or using his litterbox, he’s wandering about meowing at nothing.

Is this a normal thing for a kitten/cat to do when they are settling into a new home? Is it a kitten thing? Or is this something I should be worried about?
