How does an INTP have a fulfilling career?

I have waves of interests that last 6 months to a couple years. During these periods I research and consume as much of my interest as possible. Once I’ve researched the hobby or subject to death I move on.

So finding work in my interest is nearly impossible since they’re more like intense phases that are gone in a few years.

So how do you do what you love? And how can you be fulfilled at work?

I would imagine that the majority of people don’t enjoy their careers, but that the percentage of INTP people that don’t enjoy their careers is even higher.
