Men of reddit. Answers please(?)

I need some input from the boys here. I spoke to a coworker today about how men aren't usually allowed or are told as they grow up that they shouldn't cry. Ever. Even if it's your dad or your grandparents that are dying or have passed, whatever. As a woman it frustrates me sometimes when my fiance says he's upset but never let's his guard down and cries in front of me. I wouldn't hold it against him or see him as anything less if he cried. Do you guys hold to the same values? If you don't cry or hold back tears? Why? Would love some input. Thanks!
