Getting into web development, need specific advice.

Question

I'm trying to get into web development and looking for tailored advice.

I am not a noob to tech - I have an Electrical and Electronics Engineering background from undergrad. I also took minor courses in CS, so I know about programming, object oriented programming, fundamentals of system security and also Web security (SQL injection, CSRF, CORF, XSS attacks and defenses), basics of cryptography, and obviously communication and networking, osi, sockets and what not.

My only problem is that any time I try to get into web development, I just get overwhelmed and confused with the resources available. For example, I was trying to get into c# and the dotnet framework, but I got confused and overwhelmed with the various technology - .Net, ASP.Net, .Net core, blazer, razer; also azure, docker, kubernetes etc. Do I have to be proficient in all these to consider myself a web developer?

So, for experienced self-taught web developers that have struggled in the past, if you were to start over, what path (what tech stack? it doesn’t have to include .Net) would you recommend for a person like me, and if possible what resources(I am willing to pay if necessary) for a person with my background that wants to be job-ready in 6 months?

PS: I learnt OOP with Java, system security with C, and web security with html, JS and Python.
