Best bank/way to convert USD to AUD

I get paid in USD and need to convert them to AUD. I’m currently banking with HSBC as they don’t charge additional fee and the exchange rate seems to be not too bad - I admit I didn’t do a huge number of homework on exchange rates.

Someone suggested me to open a Wise account as it’s way better but I don’t seem to see a huge difference.

Anyone who’s experienced both could help me to shred some light?
