Blocking adblock is actually bad for youtube too

Drama

I'm not even talking about creating a drama, let's say they were no drama at from all this.

Well you don't beilieve just watching pub alone is gonna make money do you ? Youtube like any site that have pubs have a clicktrough rate, which is basicly the likehood of someone clicking on your ad and if of course used to sell your site to advertisers, and you guessed it when you have an adblock you're not part of the clicktrough rate since you don't have any pubs, and the thing is most peoples who use adblock if forced to not use their adblock are not even gonna look at the pubs they're gonna ignore it which mean you will lower the clicktrough rate of youtube, that's why a lot of site don't bother blocking adblocks, they know most adblock users won't click on their ads. It's basicly like an test, if you're present at the test but get a 0/20 it's gonna affect your school reports where if you're absent at that exam it's just not gonna get counted (doesn't mean you should be absent at your tests tho, study).

Then there's also the fact that it will genuinly not work for long, long therm wise this is gonna end up way worse than it was aldreay before blocking adblock, 'cause peoples are smart and are gonna find ways around, i don't remember the names but a saw one experimental adblock that instead of actually blocking he just hide it, which is not only harder to detect, it's also an adblock that lower the clicktrough rate, also saw something that were similar but made the site think you clicked all the ads and then hide them, which seems good but if it get too popular it will just make the clicktrough rate unriable. Worse case scenario an entire second illegal site getting the video from youtube could be made, which seems impossible but was aldreay half made of a time to get through the age limit (otho i don't beilieve that outcome will actually come but it's still a possibility).

This decision is genuinly just bad.
Also because i saw many numbers in this subreddit lemme clarify : youtube make about 30 billion in revenue per year and about 7 billion of them is profit, so not exactly poor (it's not the best profit rate either don't get me wrong, as comparaison coca cola made 44b of revenue this year, and about 25b of them is profits, but still, not exactly poor)
Btw my post karma is low 'cause i don't post that often, so i put drama flair, i don't really wanna get into the drama so just pretends the disscution flair is there
