Am I the only one who didn't like the ending of the Buu Arc?

SpoilerQuestion

The arc itself was creative and bold(kinda, since deaths don't really mean anything in DBZ unless it's the Trunks timeline). There were great and funny moments in the arc but one thing I hated about it was the ending. Yeah, let's kill the most chaotic menace ever with an attack that already failed twice against far weaker villians. To me it felt like they didn't know how to end it and did a cop-out with the spirit bomb.

The Buu arc deserved a better ending. Gohan should have learned from his mistakes during the Cell arc and went beserk throughout it. Then maybe Buu is defeated in the middle of it or merges with Gohan creating a a being of pure rage, warping Gohan's mind and turning him mad. Goku is then made to put down his son. THAT would have been epic, emotional, tense and I'd get rid of the Dragon Ball revive button because honestly when deaths mean nothing what's the point. This is why people love Future Gohan so much. He knew he was gonna die, he knew he wasn't gonna come back, but he went in there and fought for humanity anyway. This wil always mean more than Goku/Vegeta sacrificing themsevles for the fifth time knowning they'll come back anyway.

Super turned Dragon Ball into comic relief(and I don't like prequels anyway). Just go on from the End of Z like they did with GT but with an actual tense, emotional conflict for Goku(because honestly, no one is replacing Goku, the franchise lives and dies with him).

Anyway, rant over, what do you guys think?
