Biblical Literalism vs. the Holy Spirit

I've got a discussion question for the sub: is the Holy Spirit (HS) more important than the Bible?

If the HS is real, and dwelling within the lives/actions of believers, I thinks it fair to say that the HS should be the guiding force in our lives, while the Bible should be reference material for Christians.

I'm interested to hear this communities thoughts on the subject.
