Venting Two Water Heaters Together - Is this the correct vent size?
I have two natural gas water heaters that I want to vent with a common pipe together. Each water heater is 40,000 btu, no fans. They are about 8 feet apart, I would connect them together, then they would run up 30 feet to the roof. According to the literature from hart and Cooley and Ameri-Vent, for multiple appliance vent system, I can use a 4" vent pipe from the water heater to the common vent, and the common vent can also be 4" as its rated for 90,000 btu at 30 feet.
Does this sound correct and am I missing anything? I don't mind to oversize to 5" either.
