Considering Replacing Steam Deck with Ally
I bought the Deck early this year when I didn’t know about the Ally, or really the handheld market in general. However, seeing the Ally now, I kind of wish I went with it in the first place.
The main thing that makes me want to switch is the fact that it runs Windows and I can play game pass games without having to tinker and stream it to the Deck. There’s been a lot of games that I want to play on the deck that I can’t really justify purchasing when I can play them for “free” on GP.
I know that I could install Windows 11 on the deck, but at that point, I feel like I would rather have the superior hardware of the Ally. Has anyone made the switch from deck to Ally and regretted it or loved it? Would love to hear some thoughts.
People in the Steam deck sub make it seem like the Ally is borderline unusable because of Windows, but I feel like that has to be overblown.
