Do I have to use patchday 8? Or can I use another

So I figured out how to get my guns to load. But in my patchday 8 folder, it doesn’t have all the guns in the game, so I grabbed another patchday folder that had more and ended up removing that from DLC PACKs then I tried installing the guns as “ add ons “ just like I would the cars. Cars load fine now. Guns loaded fine. As I finally get it working……I tried doing the add on guns in dlc packs……. Go to start gta “ error corrupt game file, please bla bla bla “
