Ring radiator or planar open back tweeter?

Ribbons and AMTs are often too edgy or my taste.

I will be using mid driver (BMR, 2 inch) in open baffle. Bass vented.

Which of these two types of tweeters would you rather choose?

Ring radiator goes to 40khz and takes more power, but power handling is not my objective.

Planar open back will perhaps integrate better with the bmr mid. But. they have very different radiation patterns. Planar is controlled directivity in both vertical and horizontal planes. BMR mid is very wide in all directions.

Both tweeters are priced at similar levels. Radiator a bit less, but thats not a big deal.

Any suggestions?
