Other forms of energy healing

Hoping to get some community insight on this topic! I’m a reiki practitioner of about 10 years. Mostly using it for personal healing but sometimes I work on friends!

I became attuned through a YouTube video where I felt energy through my hands within about 10 minutes of practice, and eventually went on to be initiated through another practitioner (Level 2).

My question is this, am I possibly tapping into a different form of healing other than reiki? What I do is not exactly what I was taught in reiki. For one, I feel the energy much more strongly when I’m not actually touching anyone. I prefer my hands to hover about 2-3 inches above my body and I can feel the energy best this way and can physically feel places the energy is stuck, or I can feel like I am using my fingers to sort of “sweep” the energy field surrounding a person.

Another thing that happened to me when doing this type of healing is I can see what I think is the auric field surrounding a person. This usually happens about 20 minutes after starting a session when I am in a sort of meditative state, really honing in on the energy I feel surrounding the body. I can see “layers” surrounding a person that appear to be colored or almost iridescent.

If anyone has any experience with other types of healing similar to this, I would love to hear more about it! I really just want to learn as much as I can! I would also love to know if anyone has any experience with auras and how it could relate to reiki or other forms of healing!
