If I were to take AP Physics C next year and take no math class would it prevent me from getting into competitive schools?

I am taking AP calc AB rn (I hate it) and my counselor seems to think that not taking a math class will ruin my chances at getting into a really good college. I already have all my math credits and am planning to go into political science anyway and want to take AP Spanish instead so I think this is dumb. If anyone has any advice thank you.
