Bypassing security for testing. Mixing https w insecure connection in local network

I have a website hosted publicly, ssl secured. It connects to a local web socket server app to do some things. if the website and "local" web socket server is running on the same computer, everything works. What i want to do is host the web socket server on a different computer, in a private network. this breaks the security chain. i thought i'd just redirect traffic from the local address, to the external ip. but im not sure if that works since the local address is a loop back ip. using windows

tried this to give you an idea of what im trying to do, but didnt work

netsh interface portproxy add v4tov4 listenaddress=127.0.0.1 listenport=3303 connectaddress=10.0.0.2 connectport=3300

verified ports are open an listening. using chrome, which apparently has deprecated overriding insecure connection. Is there a quick way around this?
