Craving and withdrawals are going away with treatment

About 3 months ago I finally fussed up to my Dr about my kratom use. I been having blatter issues.
I was a 40gpd x 3 years.
We talked about different ways to control my addiction.
He suggested to look into ketamine. It's used in some rehab centers during the clean out stage.
Ketamine is just now being looked at for long term recovery.
I contacted several local ketamine clinics and was absolutely blown away at the cost.
During my quest I learned alot about the mechanics. How ketamine helps heal the connections and restarts dopamine.

I couldn't afford in session treatments. I finally found several in home providers that send the medicine to your home. You are under strict observation from doctor.

Backing up. I have quit kratom b4 but can't stay clean. I have tapered down to 5gpd but can't jump. The withdrawals ramp up the lower I go. Even when tapering slow. 3 months.
Deep down I'm a addict. I haven't used any thing like coke, weed, opioids or others for 15 years but I'm constantly searching out and using nutropics. I need to cover up some trauma. That's why I always find a reason to self medicate.
I will never be sober until I deal with my demons.
I found a medical ketamine provider that is licensed in my state to prescribe by internet consulting.
Everyday I have to provide a short questionnaire and once a month I have a zoom chat with the nurse PC.
The idea is ketamine helps to uncover the root causes of my addiction. I didn't have much faith. But I applied and was accepted to participate in treatments.
I'm on low dose daily ketamine. I'm sent troches. They are lozenges for better description.
I have been on my program for 2 months. During that time I have drastically reduced my kratom use. I'm finding ketamine blocks my withdrawals and boosts my mood and outlook. I still get cold between doses. That's about the only symptoms I get.
I haven't quite jumped just yet but I definitely don't have the growing symptoms I usually get when I cut my use.

Other effects that I find is I no longer have a desire to drink.
That used to increase when I cut my kratom use. I don't drink at all.

I'm posting this as a possible solution to our post kratom issues we run into. Kratom absolutely removes depression and helps with the self ruminating. You don't spend much time thinking about negative things.

I now feel I am a successful path. I feel great and have a positive outlook. The kratom I'm presently using is not because I'm in withdrawals. I subconsciously think I need it. Before when I tapered I constantly watch the clock. I counted minutes til my next dose.
Now I think I take it by habit. I'm in a good place and I don't want to ruin the game.
If I can continue to taper without the growing withdrawals I think I can become successful.

Getting back to ketamine. There is two types of treatments. One is in clinic administration. A couple hours every week of IV treatments.
Usually 8 visits then bosters when needed.
The other is at home. You are under a doctors supervision. They provide various prescribed amounts. Everyday after I respond to a few questions they tell my how much to use next day. They send the medicine to cover about 30 days use.
It's starting to look like low dose frequent use is working as good as in clinic administration at a massive reduction in cost.
I pay 129.00 a month verses 3500.00 for 8 in clinic visits.

Ketamine can be abused just like any other drug. It's used in hospitals for surgery. It's just now becoming available for mental health. The successful results are amazing.

Please read up on the studies before posting negatively.
