Online toy store

Hi Guys,

I have an online toy store that sells well known brands, currently I am selling on Amazon but I want to get traffic to my website. I have been looking at the bigger stores in my niche and it seems that most of their backlinks come from their affiliate program, is this something that I should be looking to do straight away since I sell well known brands already? Is there any other thing that I should be looking into to increase my web traffic? I am a beginner so any advise is welcome.
