All Hail Spell Check!
Weird appreciation post I know, but honestly, without spell check I probably won't have a job.
I never really bothered to learn how to properly spell, not because I couldn't (or maybe I couldn't). But because even as a child, I felt like it was a waste of my time, because people generally know what you mean. If I write 'that's not necesary', you know I meant 'necessary'. It's the only word that looks remotely like that.
But now as I'm older, I realized two things: 1. People judge you even if they know exactly what you mean. 2. Sometimes people don't know what you mean. Sometimes they just straight up can't get past a spelling mistake and miss the whole damn meaning of a sentence.
So anyway, thank you spell check for making sure that people understand me.
And screw the words: Wednesday, necessary, their/there/they're, unfortunately, and anything I can't sound out.
