Me and my gf broke it off because she is overstressed??

My girlfriend (almost 18) and I (19) were dating for almost a full year in long distance, when she told me that we should take a break. Mind you, this was Saturday. She needed space and I was fine with it. Come Monday, she wanted to break it off because she is overstressed with family and work. When I ask if we would be able to come back after the whole mess, she says that she doesn't know.

We've known eachother for a great few years, and when we were dating, I was told that I was the first person who treated her like a human and not some tool. She then proceeds to tell me on Monday that she lost feelings for me for being away for too long, even though I come home in a month. I don't want to move on, because this is the one girl I loved so much, and I believe that she could just be clouded by her stress. Someone please give me answers.
