How is Apple silicon chip performance so far?

The last Mac I owned was in 2016 Intel chip. Have been using windows laptops and wsl so far but I do miss the apple ecosystem of being able to copy paste through phone and laptop and airdrop.

Looking at the m3 pro/max and trying to justify if it even make sense to get it esp when I see there are quite a few issues faced previously.

Anyone has any benchmark in terms of performance for m2 pro/max chips or advice?
