History of TB (tourist visa canada)

Hello —

I’m asking for my friend who has a history of TB and when she applied for a visitor visa, she was asked for a medical exam which is a 6-hour drive from us and is about $400. However she has already finished treatment and has a certificate from the doctor.

Has anyone experienced this case and found a way around it?
