Is it learnable to be a better bug hunter as a Software Developer?

I wrote many many automated tests during my life as a Developer, but I believe one of the prerequisite of a successful software is Exploratory Testing, because most of the bugs have been discovered through this method. I noticed that I am a better bug hunter than my fellow Devs, but I am not really self-conscious about my 'strategy' of finding bugs.

Is it actually learnable to be a better Exploratory tester? Can I bring some consciousness to my process? Is it possible to be an effective tester and a Developer at the same time?

My aim is to find bugs as soon as possible, during implementation and code reviews.

Book recommendations on this topics is highly welcomed.
