Dropped my aspire pockex in water, now it's not working properly.

Hey, I stupidly dropped my aspire pockex in water. It seems like water has got into the fire up button. It seems to work sporadically but sometimes it flashes purple then stops working. My questions are, does this mean it has short circuited? Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it just f*cked now? TIA
