Winter 2weeks trip

Hello Icelanders! Gott kvöld! 😁

Me and my family are planning a trip to Iceland from Dec26-Jan6. Please help me, is it a good period of the year to visit Iceland? First week we stay at Varmahlíð and the second week our accomodation is in Flúðir. We will rent a 4x4 car of course, so is it possible to explore Iceland this part of the year with the short daylights?
