Why can't you see your friends honor level?

My buddy was talking about getting his honor level up, so he doesn't honor his duo. Since you get way less honor level if any. So, I wanted to see what his honor level was in the first place. But apparently, they don't display it. How long ago did they get rid of that? I could have sworn you use to be able to see honor level.
