Horror Distilled Into A Single Frame

What is the most effective single frame and/or shot in a film that distills your idea of horror upon the celluloid?

The single image that has sticked with me since I was a child were those elevator doors opening and the slow motion sea of crimson painting the lobby of The Overlook Hotel, in Kubrick’s The Shining (1980).
