Can't get Surface to boot USB drive
I recently changed out my storage to a larger size and made a disk copy in Windows using Macrium reflect. I should also note that I had used some of that patition to dual boot Ubuntu 22.04, which worked perfectly and I was able to load it using rufus on a USB A drive with a USB c converter. The new disk wouldn't load when I plugged it in, but after deleting the Ubuntu partition it suddenly recognized windows and would boot into it fine like normal with all my old files. Now though when I try to use the same drive as before to download Ubuntu 22.04 using rufus it refuses to boot. I have secure boot off, boot from USB drives on and USB drives at the top of the boot order above windows, yet when I plug in the drive and turn the computer on it just sits at the windows logo until I restart the computer and unplug the drive. I've tried a lot of things, and it is really annoying since it has worked previously and now refuses to work. I have also checked the device on another computer (not a surface) and the device could boot the USB fine. Does anyone have any recommendations?
