Just finished my reread of Fourth Wing

SpoilerDiscussion 💬

I did not expect this, but elements of Rebecca's writing style that bothered me the first time did not phase me at all this time. I initially felt like there were a lot of sudden transitions between scenes/points in time, like how weeks would go by between events. I loved the book and plot overall, but remember feeling jarred by the time jumps. This time, I didn't have that experience at all - it all felt pretty seamless. My romantasy era kicked off at the beginning of the year with the Maasiverse, and Fourth Wing was the first thing I read after SJM, so maybe the author switch is what initially threw me off? Has anyone else had a different perception of a book after their reread?

And just to keep these meandering thoughts going, I'm even more stoked to get my hands on Iron Flame now! What are your hopes for the book? I'm excited to see Xaden doing some ass kissing to get Violet back (lmao) but also hoping that it doesn't take a majority of the book for that to happen..
