P1S - Considering 3D Printer… Newbie
Hi there all! I have been considering 3D printing for a while and now that an “affordable” (very subject statement) system is available being the Bambu P1S. From what I have watched/read, it is an excellent mid-tier printer that has X1C results at about half the price. I am considering the AMS system as well, so that puts it at $949.
I already downloaded the Bambu Slicer software to mess around with and there seems to be so many options and settings that it boggles my mind!
Also, when I look at the Bambu Lab reddit page, it is filled with spaghetti questions, nozle that are knocking over prints, layers that are coming out inconsistent, glue/no glue, etc. And the answers are subjective that it might not be helpful for the person with the issue. I know that is the point of forum, so it would be filled with questions on issues vs. a normally operating system.
So, with the above in mind:
-
Is the P1S worth the investment to a total newbie?
-
If so, how much of a learning curve should I expect to hone in good results on prints?
-
Do I have to learn to 3D modeling?
-
How did you guys start out and get where you are?
