Almost came out to my friend ! (rant)
So, I realised I'm bi a while ago, and when I started wondering about it I talkes to two of my friends, one of them is gay and the other was also questioning her sexuality. It came naturally into the conversation, and even if at the time I told them I was questioning it felt easy to tell them I'm bi. I also recently came out to my best friend (who apparently was also questionning x)) and I was really afraid, but I know she wouldn't judge me because of that, and anyways I tell her everything so it wasn't really a problem.
I'm not out to anyone else at the moment, and even if I know that my friend group would accept it (we have a few friends who are out and no one has a problem with that, we know a trans guy and everyone respects his pronouns, so I know they'd be supportive) I'm not out to them because I don't really want to make it into a big announcement, I'll probably tell them if I have a crush on a girl or if it comes into the conversation, but I don't really feel the need to have a big coming out. (plus I'm wearing a bi bracelet so I'm not hiding either x))
So, the other day, we were in history class and I was joking with a friend who I'm not out to, and due to something I did she said something along the lines of "haha you're lgbt" (ok said like that I realise how offensive it sounds, but I swear it wasn't, there was context and it wasn't said it a mocking tone). The occasion was perfect, and I almost told her, but we were in history class talking about H!tler so you can see why I didn't x)
But I'm really proud of myself because a few months ago I wouldn't even have thought about coming out, so I feel like I've made a lot of progress ! And if we hadn't been in class I feel like I would have told her, so again I'm really proud of myself because I feel like I'm ready to come out if there is another occasion like this.
TLDR : I almost came out to my friend and I'm really proud of myself !
