Are temp jobs in Payroll worth it?
I’ll get straight to the point: I currently have a shitty job as a medical receptionist that I took to hold me over while I found a bookkeeping or payroll position that I have experience in. Flash forward, I’ve been at this job for almost one year, despite applying for hundreds of jobs. Sadly, I’ve only had a handful of interviews.
Recruiters have been reaching out again recently, but all the roles are temporary contracts (mostly 1-3 months) with potential to be extended. Are these temp positions worth the tisk? Has this worked out for anyone in the field?
Given the economy and how difficult it’s been to get another job, I’m afraid to risk my shitty but secure job for a temp position. Can anyone give any insight or share their similar experience? TIA!
