Just downloaded for first time. Can't enter a game?

Friend said i should try the game. Downloaded this morning. Did the tutorial, fixed my settings and cannot queue into a quick play game (my only option). Is there something I'm doing wrong? I tried EU and NA with no luck. Stayed in queue for 10 mins, nothing.
