What is the best and interesting book version of The Hobbit?

I have a friend who's hadn't had the chance to interact with the high-fantasy world, not only Middle-Earth, and I wish to introduce them to it, perhaps it will be the seeds of a friend I can finally discuss the magical world of Middle-Earth with.

I wasn't able to find The Hobbit in any of my local book shops (3rd world country drawbacks), and the online prices are a tad bit out of my reach. There are a few print stores that create high-copies of books. So, I was wondering.

TL;DR What is the best "version" of the book I can give? one with simple (but not much) illustrations, and a good book cover art? One that would almost definitely feels magical for a first timer.

Thank you.
