What games do you use for practice?
I want to improve my golf, but I think just normal practice can be really boring and I quickly lose focus. When I am on the range with friends we come up with different games to make it more interesting and add some pressure.
My favorite games so far are:
- Capture the flag (choose 5 targets on range and alternate hit closest one to move to next one, winner is who hits last one first)
- Fairway Streak (determine a fairway and hit as many Consecutive shots on it to get the Highest score. Miss one, start again)
- Skate (one player calls a shot eg. “high draw” and performs it, other player tries to copy, if failed he loses life, if succeed turns change)
- Putt Race (Put 4-8 tees around a hole and start on opposite ends. Alternately putt from tee and if you sink it move clockwise to next. First one to overtake opponent wins the game)
The last one is by far my favorite because it is a lot of fun while keeping up the pressure. There are also a lot of variations to it.
I am sure there are a lot of others great games that turn practice into a fun experience. Does anyone know or has invented some games that are fun while also improving your game?
