Court ordered driving prohibition.

Long story short, I pled guilty to a summary conviction of flight from police and was handed numerous penalties (but avoided jail time - thank god) including an automatic one year driving prohibition. Obviously I am going to abide by the restriction and not drive but I am just curious, will this show up on my driver's abstract? My license was never confiscated so I still have ID, but not a valid license. Will this affect my insurance? Is there any way to get approval to drive only to and from work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
