(Smokey brown) Cockroach control
I live in coastal SC where “Palmetto bugs” (Smokey brown cockroaches) are known to reside and sometimes appear in houses. I live in a single story house with a ~2ft crawl space that is approximately 0.25mi from the water.
I pay for quarterly pest control who sprays both interior and exterior. Yet, I keep finding cockroaches pop up in my house almost daily. Usually 1-2 small juvenile cockroaches daily and maybe 1-2x/week a large, grown cockroach. I dont think its normal to be seeing them that frequently and suspect that they are reproducing somewhere in my walls given the high volume of juvenile ones found. I already caulked all the plumbing openings but they still appear and I see their droppings around the toilet/bathroom.
I can try caulking every gap/crack i can find but any advice on bait/other strategies would be greatly appreciated. We do have several sliding doors but the cockroaches are very very rarely ever found near there.
