Trying to get into PCVR, please help

I just got my first VR headset (quest 3) recently and I love it. I would like to try PCVR as well but the shear amount of info for setup and the price is overwhelming and scary.

My current PC setup:

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K

RAM: DDR5 32 GB

GPU: GTX 1080 8GB

PSU: 750W

router: eero pro 6E

My questions:

• Is GPU the only thing I need to upgrade in order to experience better graphic fidelity and immersion?
• If so, is it better off to pick up a RTX 4070 ti or RTX 4090? (I got pretty bad luck with AMD cards in my past so I am sticking with Nvidia)
• I heard that only RTX 4070 ti and above supports dual AV1 codec for virtual desktop so that's why I pick it. I don't know what's the benefit for RTX 4090 but it's expensive AF. What do you think?
• Is my 750w PSU good enough to support the GPU upgrade?
• Do you think there is going to be a sale for GPU during black friday?
