Astrology Season 10: Capricorn - Episode 1

Hello everyone and welcome to Astrology Season 10! Astrology is a Recorded Round currently organized by Fancyyy, Harryb2000 and Ulti, which every season will have gamemodes based on a horoscope's traits or elements.

For Season 10, we are celebrating the (late) 5 year anniversary of Astrology UHC ! For this special occasion, this season’s horoscope will be Capricorn. We decided to focus more specifically on Capricorn’s enjoyment of tradition, a theme which allows us to go back to the origins of the round.

The gamemodes for this special season are:

• Random Teams of 3: People are randomly assigned to a team with other people they may not necessarily know, reflecting the feeling of getting to know people when joining or creating a round. The teamsize is also a reference to seasons 1, 5, and 7, all of which were emblematic seasons of the round and had the same teamsize.

• Beta 1.7 Map: The map was generated thanks to a mod whose world generation replicates that of Beta 1.7, one of the earliest versions of Minecraft. This gamemode partially reflects the terrain gimmick from Season 1: Aries, but it also shows Capricorn’s nostalgia and willingness to experience the past again.

• Earth Guardian: 1 random person on each team is chosen to be the Earth Guardian of their team. While the guardian is alive, everyone on the team has Haste permanently, as well as Speed and Night Vision below y36. The gamemode in question is a callback to Fire Guardian, one of the main gamemodes of Season 1: Aries. Moreover, it is reminiscent of Capricorn’s signature element : Earth.
