How is income calculated from the qmb program?

Just want to make sure I understand this right...

I'm in NYS. The qmb limit here is 1677 per month. I know that is gross income. I am a dual recipient, so I get both Medicare and Medicaid. I also work, and the SSA knows, I pass my cdrs etc.

I just want to understand the math used for the qmb limit so I don't accidentally go over it. How i have been doing it is my SSDI income plus wages, before taxes and pension deduction.

so I get 914 on ssdi, and then another $740 or so a month in wages. I'm a substitute so work isn't guaranteed. Sometimes I make less. But I never go over 1677. And I don't work in summer so July and August are non work months.

I just don't know if part of my wages are discarded or what under non magi rules. I do live with my boyfriend and I have a 9 year old so I'm not sure if it affects anything.

Thank you so much in advance!
