FULL POST:
Wail and hell-met, friends!
Are you looking for a light-hearted fantasy adventure?
I'm starting a weekly/biweekly adventure on Mondays from 7.30 - 10pm GMT+2. (Non-negotiable, I'm afraid.)
I'm looking for 3 players only, so I'll need to get picky with it and you'll need to throw me your best pitch. A Google Form (link at the bottom of this post) and maybe a short video call will be the vetting process.
This module takes place in Wildemount, a continent caught in a cold war conflict. That's not too important, though. From the brain of Matt Mercer, you've probably heard of this setting if you're a fan of Critical Role. But! A caution in advance - this is NOT going to be exactly like CR. And that's okay, because it will still be fun.
REQUIREMENTS FROM YOU:
- preferably mid-20s to early-30s, as that's my demographic. LGBTQI+ friendly, of course.
- a working microphone AND camera. You should be comfortable appearing on video with a small group of people.
- A mindset towards collaborative, improvisational storytelling. I will often throw prompts at you as we storycraft together, such as NPC names, backstories, and environmental details. A lot of "yes, and"-ing.
- An enjoyment of silly pulp adventuring. Think Pratchett's Discworld, or even Big Trouble in Little China, NADDPOD if you listen to live-plays. Wacky scenarios and characters, but with a lot of heart and heroism. Power-gaming is not suited to this adventure. No hate, just not fitting the vibes.
- A table-manners respect for fellow players and DM, and a non-bigoted outlook.
- A spare 2.5 hours on Monday evenings that you can reliably commit to.
- The game will be played in English, so you'll need to be comfortable with it.
WHAT I BRING FOR YOU:
- All the necessary tools from DNDBeyond, no paid subscription required.
- While we'll mostly be running theatre-of-the-mind, maybe sometimes Roll20 things, no paid subscription required.
- The world of Wildemount. No prior knowledge necessary (and no reading the module ahead).
- A curated Discord server that helps you keep track of the storyline, visual prompts, and character journaling. Memes totally allowed.
- A DM style that is patient, on the player's side, fair with the rules, and encouraging.
- I do stupid voices as well.
If you think you've got the chops and the stomach for this, please fill in the Google Form. Please be as detailed and honest as possible.
Thanks, and good luck!
