Is it bad to wear a skull necklace on Day of the Dead?

I have a skull necklace made of resin and filled with a light pink color in part of it. Wish I could post a pic but maybe that’s not important. Anyway, I am Latina but don’t celebrate Day of the Dead. I acknowledge and respect it for what it is but wasn’t sure if I’m being disrespectful by wearing a skull necklace on this day.
