Sending in I-693 before requested?

Hello! One year ago my wife and I filed a I-485/I-130 for a marriage based greencard for me.

Our attorney filed out documents without sending the I-693 with it right away - he recommended that we can send those at a later point.

Now we wait since a while with no Interview request- and I have read that the medical exam can be send in before it’s requested in order to speed up the process When asking my attorney about that - he always answers: we can do nothing but wait for them to request it.

What do you guys think?
