Can a 1 ton Arbor Press clicker cut out belt templates?

Question

So, as the title states...

I'm contemplating whether to purchase a 1 ton arbor press (Harbor Freight) or a 3 ton arbor press. Does a 1 ton arbor press rigged to be used as a clicker press have enough force to cut into 10-12oz. leather for belt templates? I know many have said with die cutting you have to press in several different spots to get a clean cut on every edge, but is 10-12oz. leather too thick for a 1 ton press?

I'm also looking at getting a 3 ton arbor press instead that is a bit more expensive, but a price I am willing to pay if the results yielded will be a lot better.

Anyone have some experience on the matter? I know both would probably be fine for wallets/journals/smaller goods, but am wondering if I can get away with using a cheaper option.
